Sedly Bloomfield

By day, Sedly Bloomfield worked in electronics and advanced technology. By night, he stepped onto the stage. While contributing to Hubble-era technical work and working at General DataComm, he was also performing in productions such as Dreamgirls at Candlewood Playhouse. The combination of precision, creativity, and human connection forged a path that would eventually lead to a successful career in television, film, theater, coaching, and storytelling.

Raised in Brooklyn, he came of age reading people closely: how they survive, protect, lead, listen, and reveal themselves when the room gets quiet. That observation became the foundation of a screen and stage presence built on authenticity, authority, and warmth.

Sedly trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute and continued refining his craft with respected instructors in the United States and London. His work as an actor, coach, and writer brings technical discipline together with a deep study of human behavior.

Audiences have seen him as Moses in Godfather of Harlem, Joel Spurlock in Luke Cage, Major Harris in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Benjamin Truitt in Sistas, and in projects including Manifest and The Chair Company.
